Watsonville Hospital Faces Deadline for Fundraising

With less than a month left to meet its Aug. 31 deadline, the effort to save Watsonville Community Hospital needs less than $6 million to reach its goal.

Six months of fundraising spanning local, statewide, public and private sectors has resulted in a secured amount of more than $61 million of the $67 million total that is needed, according to information provided to the Sentinel from the Pajaro Valley Healthcare District Project, the organization formed in early 2022 to raise funds for purchasing the facility.
