Bringing the Unconscious to Light with Carrington Brown

Spiritual direction, dreamwork, meditation, fine art… It’s all about bringing the unconscious to light! Our guest today is Innerwork Center’s Carrington Brown.  Our guest speaks about how becoming aware of waking life habitual reactions can be a way to transform them into responses. She recommends identifying the dream moment of either the most emotion or of most surprise to find the place to begin exploring it.

We receive an email with a dream from Marilyn of Richmond VA which was a happy dream of planting spinach in circles. We also take a call from Christine of Scotts Valley who shares a dream about escaping from a place that has turned into a psych ward.

Carrington shares a number of references including Haden Institute and also Robert Hoss’s Six Magic Questions which can be found at DreamScience.org. Also check out the offerings at the InnerworkCenter.org.

BIO: Carrington Brown is a retired landscape designer and mother of five grown sons, living just outside of Richmond Virginia with her husband, dogs and horses. She is an artist, painting in oil. Carrington has a meditation practice and practices ‘staying awake and present‘ following George Gurdjioffs work.
