On Talk of the Bay Tuesday, May 19, 2020, Christine Barrington interviews Citizen Advocate, author, and host of KSQD’s Be Bold America, Jill Cody. Jill’s 31-year career in public service has been imbued with a life-long passion for knowledge and a will to inspire change. Jill’s experience makes her a treasure trove of insight at this critical juncture in American politics.

As a rising tide of media asserts that Democracy in America is in code red, citizens find themselves in the position of needing to do something but rarely knowing what to do.The engagement required to create a society that works for all is a marathon, not a sprint, and while there is an abundance of information pointing to what is wrong in America, much rarer is information that can support citizens in knowing what to do, how to do it, and, how to take care of themselves along the way.

Citizens are going to need cultivation, support, and genuinely effective resources in order to step into the breach of our growing democracy crisis. Join Christine and Jill as they dialogue on what is required to inspire a rising tide of empowered citizens.
