United Against Hate Week offers free programs around Santa Cruz County

On Talk of the Bay, host Suki Wessling speaks with organizers and filmmakers involved in the upcoming United Against Hate Week between November 12 and November 20. United Against Hate Week was created by civic leaders in direct response to the sharp rise in expressions of hate in our communities. The organization, Santa Cruz County United for Safe and Inclusive Communities (SCCUSIC), a program of the Resource Center for Nonviolence, empowers local residents to take action in our communities and alter the course of this growing intolerance. During this hour we two people who are coordinating events, Cliff Friedlander and Angelee Dion, and two filmmakers whose film “Join or Die” is being presented at a free screening. The episode was facilitated by host Christine Barrington.
