We speak about dreams and trauma in the context of Linda’s background in social work with young people and how that trauma can affect the entire course of their lives. She uses therapies including EMDR (eye movement), EFT (tapping) and hypnotherapy among other modalities. She talks about her personal journey with dreams including attending an on-going dream group which she has been part of for 35 years. We then talk about how she works with traumatic dreams starting by making sure that the dreamer feels safe and well-resourced and then exploring the dream itself from the perspective that the dream is not yet finished.
We talk about an email sent from Boston by David about a motif that suggests that after someone has died we might dream about that person holding a baby. We speculate about this concept in the context of reincarnation. We also take a call from Ray from Santa Cruz who shares a dream in which he sees a “stairway to heaven” and is given a plate of food which is just the perfect kind of food for him.
