For August on The Sunday Dinner we’re digging into “The Roots and Playin’ Games”!  Guests: 1st course, The Roots Interns DJ Lil Spice and DJ Pink Strawberry Starburst. 2nd course: Kappa.

The Roots of Traditional Foods and Cultural Practices: Connecting to the Land for Health and Wellness, is a one year grant under the auspices of the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) and the Intersectionality Laboratory (I-Lab). The program is student centered and will be guided by the needs and experiences of students of color, especially Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and undocumented students to identify and create outdoor environments to establish campus and community spaces welcoming and nurturing to student communities who have been historically marginalized within higher education. If you have questions about The Roots internship program, ODEI or I-Lab, feel free to reach out to at tacklingthetaboo53@gmail.com

Kappa is a gamer and scholar who connects gaming mediums and the concept of play with social development and communicating across differences!
