In this special, more personal program, Ami Chen Mills interviews her colleague, author and psychologist Dr. George Pranksy–who, with her late father, Dr. Roger Mills–helped to bring an “innate mental health” psychology, based on the spiritual insights of a ninth-grade educated welder living in British Columbia, Canada to the field and to the world.
Dr. Pransky is a founding professional of the psycho-spiritual paradigm called the Three Principles of Mind, Thought, and Consciousness. He is the author of several books including The Relationship Handbook, The Secret to Mental Health, and Unbreak Your Heart. His unique perspective on human interaction has earned him national recognition as a speaker and thought leader. He is co-founder, along with his wife Linda, of Pransky & Associates and a member of the Executive Committee of the Three Principles Global Community.
Ami Chen Mills is an author and award-winning investigative journalist, a climate and social justice activist and 25+ year spiritual-psychology and innate resiliency teacher. Her books include CIA Off Campus (South End Press), The Spark Inside: A Special Book for Youth (Lone Pine Publishing) and State of Mind the Classroom: Thought, Consciousness and the Essential Curriculum for Healthy Learning, with Dr. Roger C. Mills (Spark Inside Publishing). She has written for Mother Jones, the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner and Inc. Magazine, among other publications. She is a frequent contributor to the Santa Cruz Sentinel and Lookout Santa Cruz Op Ed pages. She is a global speaker and teacher and is currently working on a book on spirituality and activism.
