In the first hour of the March 28 Jazz Tracks program, the Nuovi Venti Saxophone Quartet will be featured. The music and interview of Elias Gilbert, Joshua Doyon, Sage Liem, and Emily Daniels-Flechtner was recorded in Michael Tanner’s studio, (actually the dining room for reflective acoustics). The local group will play three jazz compositions (one by Duke Ellington) and talk about the formation and focus of the saxophone quartet, and will each add their unique perspective to their instruments of soprano, tenor, alto and baritone saxophones. Take can step aboard the A Train when you listen to the Nuovi Venti Saxophone Quartet March 28 on Jazz Tracks from 7-10PM.
