On Thursday, April 7 from 3:30- 4 pm. Host Janet Quinn talked about the Homeless Garden Project with Darrie Ganzhorn, Executive Director and Evan Jones Transitional Employment and Social Work Programs Manager.
The Homeless Garden Project provides job training, transitional employment and support services to individuals in Santa Cruz who are experiencing homelessness. Their dynamic employment training program is focused on stewardship, conservation and regenerative agricultural principles, teaching skills that truly transform lives for those who wish to maintain a stable, productive place in society. The Project also operates a community education and volunteer program that serves 2500 people during a typical year.
