On Thursday Nov 11th Pauline Seales talked with Adam Bolanos Scow.
Adam is now working for CORA – Campaign for Organic and Regenerative Agriculture. One of the main goals of this group is to phase out pesticides and convert Pajaro Valley to organic and regenerative farming. Conventional farming is causing many health problem for local residents especially children. Regenerative agriculture creates healthier soil without chemicals and stores more carbon and water in the soil.
There is a live and online event Sunday Nov 14, 3pm.
Adam is also with the group working on a Measure U petition ballot to maintain Watsonville’s current growth limits and protect valuable farm land. https://www.watsonvilleplannedgrowth.org/
They also discussed Adam’s role as a violinist with several local groups and his work teaching violin to youth in Watsonville and Hollister. Programs are funded by the Arts Council.
