Rachel Goodman’s guest, Professor Jean Moule, talks about teaching anti-racism in the classroom. Professor Moule is a professor emeritus from Oregon State University and is currently writing a curriculum for teachers to help them address the important issue of racism in their teaching. Moule has written extensively on the topic of anti-racism, authoring a textbook, Cultural Competence: A Primer for Educators. Her article, Understanding Unconscious Bias and Unintentional Racism is widely read in academic circles. In this interview, she explores her own story of being in an interracial marriage for 50 years, raising biracial children, and creating a sense of inclusivity in her classrooms.
