It is a musical Dream Journal today. I am excited to debut the music of new artist Paige Kalenian. We played two of her songs: Something New and Deja Vu. We spoke with Paige about her creative process. We also spoke with the creator of the background music of the Dream Journal, fellow KSQD programmer Rick Kleffel. Rick spoke about his early interest in ambient music and how that plays out today as the meditative experience he gets into as he creates the music for each episode of the Dream Journal on Saturday mornings. We even touched on…. aliens? Why not! In the All Caller shows, anything goes!
Christmas on Friday seems to have confused everyone so people forgot that it was Saturday and time to tune into the Dream Journal! It was an All Caller show, but I had lots of time to share my thoughts about dreams including: paying attention to small “feeling filled” moments in dreams; the surprising challenge of opening up to joy and connection; the three centers of the body: head, heart and belly; thoughts on body-based guided meditations such as the ones offered by the Insight Timer app; and finally how dreams and this radio show have helped me “find my voice”.
