Santa Cruz County is lucky enough to have many thriving farmers markets from Aptos to Scotts Valley. I talked with Nesh Dhillon, farmers market manager for five of those markets, about what’s new, what’s fresh, and how over twenty years he has learned a lot about local food and what gets people out and shopping for fresh fruits and veggies. The markets have become much more than a place to shop. They are a community gathering place that celebrates how our food connects us.
