As protests continue in Iran despite a brutal government crackdown, two local women speak about their hopes and fears for their home country. Elnaz Sarbar Boczek is an Iranian American women’s rights activist. She grew up in Iran and left Iran for the US when she was 28 years old. She used to work as a program manager at tech companies in Bay Area including Google but now she is attending to her newborn daughter and getting the voice of Iranian women out to the world.

Erika Abrahamian is a long-time yoga teacher and a Marriage and Family Therapist in training living in Santa Cruz. She was born and raised in Iran and moved to the United States as an adolescent.
