Barry van Driel, an expert consultant to the European Commission on Inclusive Education and International Director for Teacher Education and Curriculum Development at the Anne Frank House, speaks about tolerance, diversity and the importance of the climate change issue in the social justice discussion.
He has strong ties to Santa Cruz. First as a PhD student at UCSC. Then, after the start of the first Gulf War, he brought the highly successful and well-attended traveling Anne Frank exhibit to Santa Cruz. That experience led to appointments around the world to empower tolerance and diversity projects.
During his annual visit to Santa Cruz, he tells us about great and positive projects around the world, including an in-school exhibit from the Anne Frank House.
