Thus, this musical essay engages in re-mythologizing the American ideal through the statuary, paintings, and illustrations of the early nation. The first part of the musical essay deals with the image of America as an Indian Princess and the second part deals with The Goddess of Freedom, from Libertas to Lady Liberty.
