Here’s more from DNA: The 10th Annual Santa Cruz Festival is coming October 4th – 7th throughout Santa Cruz. We have survived fires, flood and pandemic. This year is a celebration of building community through laughter with shows at 10 venues including: Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, The Blue Lagoon, The Rio Theatre, Kuumbwa Jazz, Rosie McCanns, Get Faded Barbershop, Abbott Square, 11th Hour Coffee and Streetlight Records.

Kick-off is Wednesday, October 4th at The Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery at 8pm with national headliner, and one of the most important voices in comedy, Eddie Pepitone. A force of nature and truth teller, Eddie has been in The Muppet Movie and Old School as well as, touring the world for 30 years.

Besides comedians from Comedy Central, HBO, Jimmy Fallon, Conan and more, we have two specialty shows that can only be seen in LA and SF. Talkies will be at the Blue Lagoon on Thursday, October 5th at 8pm. It’s a multi-media comedy show with headliner, the incredible Drennon Davis. On Saturday, October 7th at Woodhouse Blending & Brewing at 6:30pm is Art Critique, a hit art/comedy show that tours the country where comedians critique art. Funny and unique.

Friday, October is our biggest show in 10 years, at The Rio Theatre. Three national headliners each performing 30 minute sets. A rare chance to see Moshe Kasher (Jimmy Fallon), Marcella Arguello (HBO) and Louis Katz (Comedy Central) all on one stage. 8pm

On October 7th we also have a free afternoon of musical comedy at Streetlight Records 4:30 with Nervous Energy, DJ Real (Comedy Central) and Drennon Davis (Conan). 4:30   From that point on 40 comics race around Santa Cruz making strangers, and new friends, laugh.  This is a chance for comedy lovers to also run around Santa Cruz seeing their favorite perfomers in a number of different settings. Help us, help you, laugh. From free shows to the special 10 Years/10 Headliners show at The Kuumbwa Jazz 7:30, if you love comedy this is your year.
