A message from KSQD’s board chair, Rachel Anne Goodman
As we learn more about how to prevent the spread of COVID-19, KSQD is committed to keeping you informed about our community’s response. We will continue to air public service announcements to encourage prevention measures on an individual and community-wide level. We are continuing to attend press briefings at the Santa Cruz County Department of Public Health to bring you the latest updates on the spread of the disease locally. We will also continue bringing you updates on school closures, event cancellations and the like. More importantly, we will continue to provide a conduit for both information and community sharing as we navigate this together. Facts are the best antidote to fear.
Internally, we are implementing sanitizing protocols for our studios and office to protect our volunteers and guests and shifting to phone-in interviews where feasible. We intend to continue providing the service you have come to expect from KSQD and more during this moment in our community’s history. Please contact us if you have ideas, information, or just want to help out.
And, as always, thank you for supporting community radio. This is what we’re here for.
