“We are such stuff as dreams are made on…” Dreams and the theater with guest Professor Angel Morgan. Angel starts by describing lucid dream drama where the dreamer is performer, director, audience and also playwright, getting to chose whether to change the dream or not, saying that this kind of dream exploration helps build the muscle for lucid dreaming. Angel talks about her presentations at the upcoming IASD conference in Ashland (June 18-22), which are all related to dreaming and theater.
We talk about when theater appears in dreams, examples of dream-inspired theater through the ages, and indigenous approaches to dream drama. Angel shares some stories about her time as a professional actor from the age of 10 and what then drew her into studying nighttime dreams professionally. She finishes by describing the graduate-level dream studies certificate offered by Sofia University where she teaches.
