On Talk of the Bay, April 5, 2021, Christine Barrington goes Behind the Mic with DJ and Host, Joe Truskot
KSQD is community radio and what makes it distinctive is its varied local voices–whether it’s music or talk, much of the programming streaming your way on 90.7 FM is created by community volunteers offering their expertise for the sheer love of doing what they do. But, who are the people running the studio, spinning the tunes, and sharing tales with local and national personalities? Their stories will likely surprise and delight you.
Joe has three wonderful programs on KSQD: Monday Night at the Opera from 7-10 pm Mondays; Saturdays 6-9 am he offers Music of the Masters, which is then followed by In the Garden. Joe Truskot is the former director of the Monterey Symphony, and in this interview he shares with us his serendipitous journey into the worlds of classical music and gardening–worlds he shares with all of us through the programming he creates every week.
