Debora Bone interviewed longtime WILPF activist Cappy Israel about her involvement with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. Our topic was Activism for the Long Haul: how women connect the dots and keep working for change.
Cappy related her family background in non-violent Quaker movements and discussed her work in yoga and massage therapy. She has been arrested many times including students protests at Berkeley, nuclear missile protests at Vandenberg and advanced nuclear testing at Livermore labs. She is passionate about many causes including Human Rights, public banking and eliminating plastic bottles.
Inspiring listening!
