We are now three years into the covid 19 pandemic that has spread worldwide. Society has since adjusted to living in an active pandemic, but one environment that has been severely impacted is hospitals and medical care facilities. Cabrillo student Aja Anderson talks with Amy Rodriquez, a licensed nurse from Bascom Surgery Center Los Gatos, with experience in the ICU field for twenty three years and has continued to be on the front lines throughout the pandemic. In this interview she shares how current-day hospitals and medical centers operate with covid and the costs of making medical decisions through the lens of the for-profit business model.
