Melissa Kreisa is an artist who stepped forward to fill a gaping hole in the downtown arts scene by opening a 4,600 square foot gallery near the Museum of Art & History on Front Street. It is called MK Contemporary Art and it is where Broadsides is taking place. On top of invigorating the local arts scene with this exhibition space, Melissa has also taken on leadership of the Santa Cruz Artist Assistance Relief Fund, which this exhibit will benefit.
Rose Sellery is an artist of incredible range and wit, crossing multiple disciplines from sculpture and conceptual garments to photomontage. She is the co-director of Pivot: The Art of Fashion. She has curated art exhibits and fashion events around California and has exhibited artwork nationally and internationally.
