Sandy Brown is an incumbent on the Santa Cruz City Council, running for a new term on a progressive agenda that promotes affordable housing, pedestrian and bike-friendly streets and increased taxes on vacant second homes as a way to fund these programs. John Leopold is an incumbent county supervisor for Santa Cruz County and is running for a new term on a platform of strategic community development.
