Youth Climate March Organizers

Youth have perhaps the strongest case for why congress and world leaders and local city councilmembers should act quickly on addressing climate change: They stand to bear the brunt of what’s to come if the world does not reduce its carbon output.

I spoke with two organizers of a Youth Climate march and protest planned for Friday, October 29th about their demands and concerns. They are Lisette Jones and Bijan Ashtiani-Eiseman, two UCSC seniors who feel strongly that local action on this issue can go a long way in addressing this global issue.
