Alex Ferrer is co-author of The Vacancy Report (along with Terra Graziani and Jacob Woocher). Alex is a housing researcher and a graduate student in urban planning at UCLA. His work supports tenant organizing and considers how failing to house people is an integral aspect of contemporary urbanization.

The Vacancy Report is a joint project of Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE), the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE) and the UCLA School of Law Community Economic Development Clinic.

Len Beyea is a semi-retired energy engineer and commissioning agent, former land-use planner, musician, Interfaith Minister, gardener, dancer, political and cultural commentator, and grandfather who resides in Santa Cruz County.
