The Holidays are upon us, and the organizations in Santa Cruz that work hard every year to help make sure a celebratory meal is on every table are working double duty in the age of Covid.
For Tuesday, November 24, 2020 on Talk of the Bay, Christine Barrington features the terrific efforts of the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Salvation Army to provide holiday cheer against great odds.

Thanksgiving with the Salvation Army:
Meals in Santa Cruz will be available at 2 locations on Wednesday, November 25: *Between 4-6pm at The Salvation Army (721 Laurel St, Santa Cruz). Those on foot can go to the front door (facing Laurel St), and those in vehicles can drive-thru our parking lot (entrance off Blackburn St).
*From 6:15pm until the meals are gone, we will be at Capitola Mall near Bank of America serving the to-go meals from our Salvation Army Canteen.
Meals in Watsonville will be available on Thursday, November 26: *5pm at The Salvation Army (214 Union St, Watsonville) from the front door.
Thanksgiving with Second Harvest Food Bank:
Community Drive Through Distribution will take place on Wednesday, November 25th at the fairgrounds in Watsonville. Thus, THERE WILL BE NO FRIDAY DISTRIBUTION ON November 27TH
