Sustainability Now! was launched on KSQD in 2019 by Ronnie Lipschutz.  The show features interviews with activists, scholars, scientists, authors, philosophers, and others on a range of topics and issues that address the relationships among humans and nature, including life, death, taxes, biodiversity, energy, electricity, climate change, nuclear matters, animal rights, environmental activism, books, articles and many others.  If you have a question, we have a podcast for you! Ronnie D. Lipschutz

Ronnie D. Lipschutz has been host and producer of Sustainability Now! since August 2019. He is a recovering academic as well as President of the Sustainable Systems Research Foundation ((https://sustainablesystemsfoundation.org/), a green project incubator in Santa Cruz, founded in 2015, and Emeritus Professor of Politics at University of California, Santa Cruz, where he taught from 1990 to 2020.  AT UCSC, he taught and wrote about energy, resources and social sustainability, foreign policy, global politics and sociology, politics and popular culture, and surveillance society.  He is the author/co-author and editor/co-editor of numerous books and articles on international and global environmental politics, energy and resources, civil society and popular culture. Ronnie He received his Ph.D. in Energy and Resources from UC-Berkeley in 1987 and an SM in Physics from MIT in 1978.
