Tyller Williamson and Elaine Johnson are leaders in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties. Tyller is Mayor of the City of Monterey and Elaine is the Executive Director of Housing Santa Cruz County and president of the local NAACP. We talked about how their African American and queer identities inform their work, as well as their work as part of the civil rights movement especially regarding housing, and the upcoming Martin Luther King Day events in Santa Cruz County.
