For November’s Sunday Dinner, DJ Duspie sits down with local activist and recording artist, RicoR.
Rico Waya Hoffmann Rushworth (aka RicoR) is a drummer, beatboxer, singer, rapper, writer, and producer from Santa Cruz, California. He currently performs as a drummer, vocalist, and songwriter for the Santa Cruz based rock band The Submerged and as a solo artist.
He has also been a session drummer for multiple artists and organizations such as Dan Frechette, Layla Dias Band, Jianna Andrews, Love Creek, DNA’s Comedy Lab, Something Else, Maia Rowan, Peter Weiss and the Earth Rangers, Honeytone, Spellsingers, The Tire Swings Jazz Trio, and the Aptos High School Music Program.
RicoR writes and records songs in different genres, solo or with a band. He has an EP out entitled “Instrumentals and A Cappellas,” and his debut album “Message To The People,” along with its extended version, is out now!
