Businessman, musician, and community volunteer Joe Ferrara doesn’t just live in Santa Cruz—he partakes in everything it has to offer. Joe owns Atlantis Fantasyworld, has been active on the boards of the Downtown Association, Downtown Commission, and the Visitors Council. He is active at the Senior Center and helps organize the annual Songfest for Prostate Cancer Awareness in Santa Cruz. A 17-year survivor of prostate cancer, Joe supports others and was pleased to announce that the fundraiser will return this spring (see details below).
During this conversation, we spoke of our histories coming to Santa Cruz, and also what we and our callers love about this place. Joe played a few songs and we also played a wonderful tune by blues singer Jeff Stewman about his love for Santa Cruz.
