We hear from members of the Rhythm Avenue teen band and their mentor, (Yoga) Matt Pinck. Be Natural is a music school that has been teaching music lessons and mentoring teen bands since 1998. Matt Pinck is the CEO and leader of 13 bands! The members are Freya Magnante, vocals, Marke Fulop-Furlano, guitar, and Rowan Johnson, drums. The interview includes excerpts from three bands’ songs.

Be Natural Music will start the concert and fundraising season by showcasing their youth Rock and Jazz bands at Woodstock Pizza in Santa Cruz on the evenings of Wednesday, April 12th, and Tuesday, April 18th. Local residents are invited to drop by, grab a bite, and enjoy the music. Attendees must mention that they’re here for the Be Natural Music event at the register in order for our scholarship program to receive their donation.Woodstock Pizza is continuing its support by donating 25% of its proceeds from the shows to our fundraiser: The scholarships help families in financial need afford music classes for adults & children.

On Saturday, April 29th, Be Natural Music will be joining the Santa Cruz Downtown Association Kid’s Day event and performing in Abbott Square from 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Visitors can stop by the booth to sign kids up for lessons and band openings! Be Natural Music representatives will be present to answer questions and provide information on all class offerings and camps.

There will be multiple kid bands showcasing their extraordinary talents on the Live Stage! Help keep their studio doors open to anyone who wants to learn music, regardless of their financial situation, by making a donation. Bid on dozens of cool items; guitars, amps, gift cards to local venues & excursions, skateboards, and more! Every dollar donated goes into their scholarship fund, which supports 30 students each month. Come celebrate the festivities with them!
