On Talk of the Bay, Monday, October 21, at 5:00PM, Meilin Obinata hosted guests who will discuss the roles of conversation and misinformation which may change the way you look at what makes up effective voter outreach and your own media consumption habits. First up will be misinformation expert Bertha Vazquez of the Teacher Institute for Evolutionary Science. We will also hear from Elizabeth Chur, author of The Joy of Talking Politics with Strangers: Saving Democracy, One Conversation at a time.

Bertha Vazquez will give a free talk on detecting and dealing with misinformation, titled “Don’t Believe Everything You Believe,” at the Aptos Branch Library, on Soquel Drive near State Park Drive, on Saturday, November 16, from 2 to 4 pm. Presented by Santa Cruz County Skeptics and the Center for Inquiry.
