Tap into the power of nature to create a happier, healthier, more meaningful life!

Monday on Talk of the Bay, host Christine Barrington explores the abundance of well being made possible through connecting with nature. The first half of the show features Brenda Holmes, Executive Director of the Mountain Parks Foundation. For 50 years this local non-profit has been enriching the lives of State Park visitors through educational and experiential programs. Learn about their history, mission, and new Redwood Rx curriculum designed to enhance your well-being and connection to the flora and fauna that make Santa Cruz a world-class eco-destination.

Don’t miss their very special Fall fundraiser Lobster Feed now in its 28th year! Enjoy delicious food and wine, live music, under twinkling lights with the majesty of the redwoods all around you.

In the second half of the show meet Kai Siedenburg, a Redwood Rx facilitator, and founder of Our Nature Connection, which creates programs and resources that inspire people to connect with nature as a path to greater peace, joy, and healing in their lives and in the world.

Christine interviews Kai about her work leading individuals and groups into a deeper connection with the world of nature through experiential practices on the land and in the home. Kai offers simple, yet effective, ways to help individuals and groups to connect with the Earth wherever they are, cultivate deeper bonds with wild places, and access nature-based healing.  Kai’s work is a gentle yet powerful integration of deep nature connection, mindfulness practice, and holistic healing—a unique approach she calls NatureWise.  Kai offers a wealth of practices appropriate for a wide range of settings, and shares them through group programs, individual sessions, consulting services, and the written word.
