On Talk of the Bay Christine Barrington goes Behind the Mic with Noreen Nolan and Bill Van Bloom, co-hosts of Jazz Tracks every 2nd Thursday of the month.
The Behind the Mic series at KSQD reveals and celebrates the community behind our community radio station. Noreen and Bill, like most of our DJ’s, have deep roots in radio and have been filling the Santa Cruz airwaves with quality music for years. Bill is a musician and Noreen is an educator, and besides their thoughtful music curation, they like to inform and educate. Their shows regularly feature musicians from the Berklee College of Music as well as Jazz masters from the National Endowment for the Arts. And, together, they travel around the Santa Cruz region to record and play local Jazz performances for their Without a Net segment.
