Talk of the Bay with Chris Krohn, Tuesday, November 7, 5-6 PM
Today, we go into the minds, muses and music of two long-time radio programmers here at KSQD. First up is the anchor and genius behind the Computer Man Show, Luigi Oppido. He brings his incomparable wit and wisdom about a wide range of topics including the corrupt nature of the corporate computing world that sells us so many useless baubles and bangles in order to keep their stockholders rich.
On part two of today’s show, your host Chris Krohn probes long-time Santa Cruz community icon, Bobby Bishop, on growing up in Trenton and growing old in Santa Cruz. Is California racism different than New Jersey racism? Bobby also goes deep into discussing jazz, driving a cab, and what it was like for this east coast boxing gold gloves champ at granola U up on the UCSC hill during the 1970’s. Join us for a frank and informative discussion where nothing is off-limits and everything is on the record. Talk of the Bay, tonight at 5p on KSQD 90.7 and KSQD.org
