Yes or No on Measure O? Round 2
Talk of the Bay, with Chris Krohn, Tuesday, September 13th

Bob Morgan
In our previous show, Talk of the Bay explored a range of perspectives about the library-garage-mixed use project proposed for Lot 4. It’s a lively debate, pro and con, on Measure O, the Our Downtown, Our Future initiative. This week we discuss the money being thrown at Measure O in hopes of defeating it. Where’s it coming from and why are some big money interests afraid of a downtown commons, keeping the farmer’s market and Sunday Antique Faire where they now operate from, and also setting aside eight downtown lots for real affordable housing. With me in the studio is this week will be Bob Morgan, press spokesperson for Our Downtown, Our Future.

Hector Marin, 4th District Candidate
My guest for part II of the show is Hector Marin, candidate for the Santa Cruz city council’s 4th district seat. Marin recently graduated from the Politics Dept at UC Santa Cruz. He’ss the former co-chair of campus’ chapter of the NAACP and also served as a student organizer for AFSCME local 3299. He was also an early supporter of Bernie Sanders for President back in 2016.
