Rerun from Tuesday, July 19th Talk of the Bay, host Chris Krohn goes one on one with writer, movie critic, and Santa Cruz historian Bruce Bratton. His five decades in Surf City include stints with the Santa Cruz Sentinel, Good Times, KZSC, and the now defunct Santa Cruz Express. Before Santa Cruz, Bratton was a news director at KCBS and KGO in San Francisco. Bratton also was part of a washboard band appearing on Johnny Carson and the Milton Beryl show back in the day. You do not want to miss Bruce Bratton’s wit, wisdom, and acidic humor as he lauds, eviscerates, and and exposes some of Santa Cruz’s most sacred of cows. At 88, he holds nothing back and continues to charge forward in what for many might be their twilight years. Not Bratton.
