Are you familiar with Ranked Choice Voting (RCV)? Whether or not you are, you do not want to miss this Tuesday’s Talk of the Bay. Nationally renowned Ranked Choice Voting advocate and expert, Rob Richie will be joining us. Richie is the executive director of FairVote, a group that has played a key role in advancing, winning and implementing electoral reforms in states and cities across the United States including San Francisco, Richmond Oakland, New York City, Maine and Alaska. Richie is a frequent lecturer and media source on CBS, NBC, CNBC, CNN and NPR. He will be on Talk of the Bay this Tuesday at 5pm with your host Chris Krohn.
On part II of the show we visit with the Empty Homes Tax group. They’ve been out canvassing Santa Cruz voters and amassing thousands of signatures to put their initiative on the ballot this 
November. We check in to find out whom the tax will affect, how it will be spent if it is implemented, and how the group is faring in collecting the 4,000 signatures they need to qualify for the November 7th ballot.
