Kara Meyberg Guzman has done in-depth reporting on the homeless and houseless in Santa Cruz County. She brings her expertise as founder and Reporter for Santa Cruz Local to “Talk of the Bay” this Tuesday. Along with Meyburg-Guzman, on the show too will be founding members of Slug Shelter, Abbi Cundall and Conor Kensok. They will join the conversation on housing insecurity. They are part of a group of recent UC Santa Cruz graduates who are seeking to address the lack of housing for undergraduates and the scourge of housing insecurity within the collegiate community locally. Kensok and Cundall are co-founding presidents of Slug Shelter and seek to provide housing solutions for students who are on the brink of homelessness while in school.
