Episode #51: People are utilizing therapy now more than ever. Men are taking advantage of this resource in unprecedented numbers. In this episode, we explore what therapy is like for men: the barriers, the benefits, and the types available. Guest Host Lisa Herendeen is joined by guests Joey Fino and Mark Vanderhoof, who share their personal experiences of therapy. Outdoorsman Joey describes himself as an unlikely therapy client until a debilitating illness led him to seek and greatly benefit from the help. Mark shares how couples therapy saved his marriage and led him to a more meaningful life. Also joining us is psychotherapist Tim Hartnett, who describes the ways that gender roles shape men’s development and can limit their relationships with others. Tim also shares how therapeutic work, in and out of the therapy room, can help men live fuller, happier lives with greater connection to those they love and care about. Join us for this valuable and insightful discussion about men in therapy.

Broadcasts 2/5/23 & 2/13/23
