Maureen Ryder has been a nurse at Dominican Hosptial for twenty years. She participated in the nationwide day of action sponsored by National Nurses United, the biggest labor union representing nurses in the U.S. In this interview, she talks about what it’s like spiritually, morally, and emotionally to have to ignore calls for help from her patients due to short staffing. On the same day the U.S. supreme court decided it was legal for hospitals to require their employees to be vaccinated, not all nurses feel this is fair.
