Cabrillo College Name Change

After months of discussions, forums, and media about the potential name change for Cabrillo College, trustees voted 9-1 to change the college’s name. Now what? Trustees Adam Spickler and Steve Trujillo discuss the future naming process for the community college. Will it be Aptos College? Nisene Marks? Awaswas? Recently Lookout Santa Cruz’s Wallace Baine asked readers to vote. The winner was Aptos College, but many still wanted to keep Cabrillo, despite the recent vote to change the college’s name.
