
Do your dreams alone tell the story of your life? Wendy Ortiz presents “Bruja: A Dreamoir,” a book which consists of a series of dreams from a challenging few years. A glimpse into her subconscious, the book is mesmerizing and playful. Wendy talks about the process of creating this book and about how dreams inform her waking life.
BIO: Wendy C. Ortiz is a writer of creative nonfiction who works in hybrid forms, essays, and memoir. She is the author of Excavation: A Memoir, Hollywood Notebook: Essays, and Bruja: A Dreamoir, all published by Northwestern University Press. Ortiz is a therapist in private practice in Los Angeles.
