Bob Dylan turned 84 on May 24th, and on that same birthday, Erik Nelson and VERY special guests Elizabeth Nelson and Amy Rigby unpacked the magic, mystery and occasional madness of one of our greatest artists. Elizabeth Nelson is not only a superb music critic (being selected by His Bobness himself to write the album notes for his recent mammoth Tour ’74 box set!) — she’s a wonderful singer-songwriter in her own right, the driving force behind the “Paranoid Style.” Amy Rigby needs no introduction, but just in case, she’s written and performed countless great songs over a still enduring career — including two of the best songs ever written about Bob Dylan. It takes an artist to really know one, and Amy Rigby and Elizabeth Nelson brought their musical and critical insights to KSQD for this special three hour birthday salute to the great Bob Dylan.
