Talk of the Bay, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 features the Agape Dance Academy and its founder Melanie Useldinger. The Nutcracker is a Christmas tradition almost everyone has enjoyed. Here in Santa Cruz it is an annual event normally featured on the Cabrillo Stage. Covid restrictions have inspired novel approaches to every aspect of life and Agape has risen to the occasion in style, transferring the Nutcracker performance from stage to film. To take it up a notch higher, Agape is also resurrecting the Drive-In movie experience and will broadcast its original film on the big screen outside the Boardwalk and features both ballet professionals and dancers from its five local studios.
